Step 1, the first text
About 90 percent of our applications come in by text, not by web form. The first text is usually short, a name, age, city, brief description, and a sentence about availability or background. The applicant has often been thinking about this for weeks before sending.
We reply within a few hours during business days, within a day on weekends. The first reply is conversational, not transactional. We do not ask for ID, photos, or rates upfront. We ask what she actually wants out of the work.
Step 2, the conversation
