Before you reply to an escort agency hiring ad, there are five questions worth asking. The answers separate serious operators from agencies that will burn through your first month and leave you no better off than working solo.
1. How do you screen clients?
This is the single most important question. If the answer is vague (“we have a process”, “we vet everyone”), keep looking. A real answer names specific steps: ID verification, employer or business cross-reference, references from other vetted agencies, shared blacklist check, deposit requirement.
If they can describe the screening in concrete detail without prompting, they have actually built it. If they cannot, they have not.
2. What happens if I feel unsafe at a booking?
The honest answer is short and operational: a written safe-word protocol, a 24/7 backup phone, immediate extract with transport home, full pay for the booked time, no questions. Anything less specific is a red flag.
Ask whether the backup line has been used recently. An agency that runs the protocol in practice will tell you yes, without drama. An agency that has the protocol on paper only will hedge.
3. How do you handle the cash?
Same-day cash at the end of every booking is the gold standard. It removes processor risk, chargeback risk, and timing friction. Any agency that wants you to wait for weekly bank transfer is asking you to extend them credit, which is not a good deal for you.
4. Can I refuse a booking?
The right answer is yes, always, no questions, no penalty, no impact on future bookings. If there is any hedging here, walk. Refusal is a basic safety control, not a privilege.
5. Why should I work with you instead of solo?
An honest answer acknowledges that solo work can earn more per booking but costs more in time, risk, and stress. The agency’s pitch should be that it handles the overhead (screening, hotels, advertising, screening, booking management) so the net hours and net risk drop. If the pitch is just “we have clients you wouldn’t otherwise reach”, that is partly true but not enough to justify a split alone.
